Power...

You might be a politician and have the power to change policies or you maybe a school teacher and have the power to keep your students...But whoever you maybe you do not have the power to make someone LOVE you.

I define LOVE here in this context as not only between two people of opposite sexes but also between friends, family, colleagues, siblings, and the like. Isn't it strange that you can move mountains for a person but that person is so blinded by the pollution of the world that he cannot see your love or cannot feel it. Have you ever been in a situation like this? When you feel you just wished you had the power to make someone love you, see the care that you show, feel the pain that you feel for them. ?

It is said "That an act of Love done today is the Blanket that will Warm you tomorrow" . Nothing is ever lost in this World. All that you do today will reap you benefits not today but in the years that come. The feeling of helplessness when someone who you care so much for ignores you and dosent seem to respond to you is felt by everyone of us atleast once in our lives.

The only solution to such feelings is to let life take its course.....

Role of Film Critics

Just the other day I read a review of one of the latest Bollywood flicks to hit the theater. The review was very biased. It was on the whole doing only one thing criticizing every aspect and every angle of the movie. The critic also commented on the lead actress's weight , saying she was too fat . I was taken aback , cuz when I went to watch the movie I was expecting something disastrous and to my surprise it wasn't so bad.

I got thinking as to whether critics can make such harsh statements about movies just because they have a right to do so. A film is a work of art and some may like it and some may not ! Critics these days have a right to influence people - as to which movie is good and which is not and hence Box office ratings are badly affected. It is a rare sight to witness box office hits , long gone are the days where the film industry used to produce one hit every month that used to run for more than 2-3 months.
Critics do have a major influence on the minds of people. They should therefore watch their words, and write in a neutral way rather than being biased on either side positive or negative. Each individual is different and what appeals to me need not necessarily appeal to you.

Plight of a Woman !!!!

Pooja Chauhan - A name that stands for strength and Courage , according to me . Pooja , 22 year old house wife in the conservative Rajkot district of Gujrat , dispelled her anger and frustration in a different way from how other people do.

Unable to tolerate the continuous torchure for dowry by her in-laws and her husband , and also the deaf ear of the police . Pooja walked in her undergarments to the police station at Rajkot to draw the attention of the police and the law. Pooja in an interview said she did this to embarras her in-laws and her husband !

The question here is : Is it necessary for an Indian Woman to be heard only when she strips half naked in front of others ?? Why isnt the Government and the Law Enforcing Authorities not doing anything to listen to the plight of our people?

This made National Headlines and her pic was carried in all the newspapers and leading magazines !!!
Why is it that only when there is a show of flesh and blood does the Government and Media respond so quickly ??

The solution i think lies in the people in the LAW to be more sensitive and react to the needs of the people before they resort to such extreme measures .

Provoked

According to the dictionary the meaning of provoked is to stir up , to enrage and yah most recently the name of a new film based on the true life story of Kiranjet Aluwalia. Most of you wud have either seen the movie or atleast read abt it somewhere in the papers, after watching the movie , I had these thoughts in my mind is/was Kiran the only woman to have faced domestic violence? There are many more women all over the world who face the same problems and tortures every day.

Kiran is just one of those few who by the help of a few friends and society was able to come out and fight back. Dont u think that we women must fight back aginsyt the injustice done to us by men?And to men : why do u always consider women as lower than u and not in par with u? why??Waiting for ur comments!!

Making a Difference

I think the true purpose of life is to make a difference in someones life or atleast putting a smile on their face that makes life worth living !! On a recent trip i noticed young kids about 5 to 7 years old picking up the garbage from the sea . what they were actually doing was picking up the coconuts that people offer along with the ashes of the deceased person into the sea!!And later they would sell those coconuts . I was shocked to think that at such a young age when they just ought to play and enjoy life they were being forced into such dirty things .

Acc to me the root cause of this is poverty and if we can make a just a small difference in their life , just a small change , we can change their life forever and it will also make our life worth living !!!
If u have had any such experience, pls post it and lets start making a difference !

FIVE POINT SOMEONE'S

I just finished reading five-point someone yesterday and thought that i must write abt it . it realtes to us so much...at least to me it did..Just goes to prove once again that the GRASS ON THE OTHER SIDE ALWAYS LOOKS GREENER...its true and in human nature to think that the other person is always having a better life than u..

Here the NON-IIT ians always think it would be so nice just to study in IIT ...but ignore the other aspects of it..i feel life is full of positives and negatives. And its upto us to take in the positives and try to ignore the negative or just enjot them..

On the other aspects of the book ..its so true that all of us would have messed up somewhere in our coll life ..either scoring low grades, or getting screwed by some stupid prof for talking in class..he he he..whatever it is I think thats what coll life is all abt ...i mean whats the use of just going to coll and coming back life good students without doing all these things..he he(u must be thinking what i wud have done in coll).

And yah all of us have this urge in the beginning to join coll and enjoy it, and then once we join we realise that this is not our piece of cake and want to get out..and then almost towards towards the end of it we realise that those 4 /3 years are all done and we are gonna miss all the fun and the friends we made...

aint this called HUMAN NATURE!!!

MOBILESSS....

Every person on the road , starting from the vegtable vendor to the white collar professionals everybody uses a mobile....and wht do u think they use a mobile for .obviously to communicate. Now a days mobile makes life easier and makes the world a smaller place...................

BUTTTTTTT if a student of ANNA UNIVERSITY AND ITS AFFILIATED COLLEGES uses a mobile ,he s supposedly misusing it..ha ha ha...just the other day.i was caught in coll for having a mobile. They (coll management) will go any extent to irrtate us. they gave me a memo saying had to pay 10,000/- ONLY... he he he..Just felt like laughing so much ...

I mean we students who can vote, make decisions for ourselves ..cant carry a mobile...so rediculous. Why can't we. People are so narrow minded that they dont even trust us with a mobile. I mean whats wrong !!!!

When we can work at this age and get recruited , i am just trying to say that when we can be so responsible , why cannot they believe that we can be responsible abt the way we use our mobile...Its high time we got to do something abt this, all of us together..BE A REBEL

Women's Day

I know its too late to be writing abt Women's Day..

But i had this strong feeling that Women's Day should always be celebrated..I mean apart from Valentines Day,Friend's Day which i feel are not that important ..

Women in many parts of the world are not only not allowed to speak out or are deprived of their right to speak against the existing system...I think march 8th is one day to awaken the voice inside all of them , that has remained silent until now to speak up.

I just read a blog saying that women now a days cant even travel by the local buses and its hard for them to just survive . There was also a question abt where is all the EMPOWERMENT that is being talked abt so much.

Empowerment--- i think it comes from within...dont think any government or person can invest power in you!!!! We got to do it. We have the power just go to bring it out and show it ...

Just like in shaggys song

She ll put a smile upon ur face,
And take u to a higher plane,
so never under-estimate the strength of a woman..

And men yah learn(yes i mean it) respect a woman ..u were born from her..

When u aspire to achieve something in life the whole world and all its elements conspires to help u achieve it..
